Finding Peace of Mind

Updated: Sep 12, 2021

Does it seem like the more you accomplish the farther you get from a peaceful and fulfilled life?

If the answer is yes, then the story I am going to share will be a HUGE "ah-ha" moment for you. I also have a surprise for you at the end, so read on. :)

We were celebrating my daughter’s 17th birthday last April and one of my wonderful clients offered for us to stay in her river house about 1.5 hours drive from where we live.

My daughter was taking a few of her friends so she wanted to ride with them. My husband had to drop her off, I was picking up the cake and balloons so we all ended up driving in separate cars.

The interesting part and why I am sharing this story with you is because I realized that each one of us chose a different route. Our choices revealed a lot about our personalities and outlook on life.

My husband went the interstate, he is all about getting wherever he is going as fast as possible preferably before everyone else.

My daughter and her friends took the toll road, safer and less traffic. They also stopped a few times for donuts and Starbucks. They were enjoying each other's company and the journey itself.

I took the back roads, which was probably going to take me a bit longer but I absolutely love discovering new places. I enjoyed the quietness and the sense of adventure to be one of the few cars traveling those roads.

The spiritual journey is a bit like that. While everyone else is working on getting more, achieving more, focusing on getting to some destination, you are turning in the opposite direction, you are turning within. It may look like you are lost, wandering in life. But it is quite the opposite.

See, when you are young, life is full of excitement! You are still enjoying the journey, stopping along the way to do the things that matter to you.

As you get older, the world tells you that it is not about the journey, that the only way to be happy is to get more, to achieve more. You must work hard to “get there” and you must get there as fast as possible before someone else takes what is yours.

And most people live their life that way. They feel guilty to deviate from what society tells them is the right thing to do. They work hard, place all their attention on achieving to just find themselves unfulfilled and going through some sort of psychological stress.

Then, they try to ignore that feeling and push it to the side, but that feeling will never go away.

That feeling is a calling to turn inward.

Think of it as when you take the wrong road Siri tells you to make a u-turn. If you don’t listen, it re-routes.

But if you keep going the wrong direction, ignoring the calling, and focusing your attention on what is outside, what you seek will never be found.

The way you perceive your life right now is a reflection of how you feel inside.

True happiness, fulfillment, joy, peace, love ALL live within yourself. You don’t need to search outside for it.

The first step is to finally realize that the goals society created for you will never give you what you want and make a U-turn in your life.

When you do that, you will be able to live life with more ease, and ONLY then you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your work, your family, and every little moment becomes a gift.

There is a huge sense of relief because when you are at peace within yourself your perspective of the world changes and everything in your life becomes a reflection of that.

If you are ready to reset your inner GPS and make a U-turn in your life, I have something that will be life-changing for you.

I would like to invite you to book a call with me when I will give you real tools to start turning your attention within, releasing years of accumulated stress, finding true peace, joy, and better health.
